I just put mine back on the road 3 days ago with the following mods and it's apleasure to ride and looks like an early glide. As someone said it can get expensive,but if you get a good deal on the front end it's worth it. I just finished putting an aftermarket wide glide on my 84 wich was easy because it already has the 1" neck. Here is a 99 39mm Fx front end on my Billetwerx do the 1" conversion cups, or machine down the neck of a set thats what i did just make sure you get a set up with an internal fork stop.
